A key member of the Rise CPA team since 1997, Sheralynne is an experienced accountant and trusted advisor. She specializes in estate and succession planning, business valuations , solving HR issues, and developing systems and audits.

Sheralynne worked for the Canada Revenue Agency, where she oversaw thousands of tax returns. She graduated from SFU in accounting and started her career with Arthur Andersen as a staff accountant in 1987. She worked in audits and the small business division. She enjoyed the business division because she could see the impact of her work where saving money for an owner made a real difference to people. After six years, she moved to KPMG and spent three years as a manager in the small business division.
Sheralynne came to EPR Coquitlam in 1997 as the company’s first manager. Because of her problem-solving, she developed an expertise in estates and trusts. She understands handling an estate can be an emotional and vulnerable time and helps clients through by taking the load off their shoulders.
Sheralynne became a principal at EPR Coquitlam in January 2001. She heads the estates and trust division and works closely with clients and their families to help them plan and structure their Wills and estates in the most tax efficient way that saves every tax dollar, professional fee and court cost possible. She also assists Executors of estates carry out their responsibilities including filing all required tax returns associated with the passing of a loved one and obtaining clearance certificates from CRA.
In addition, Sheralynne plays a lead role on Rise CPA’s audit team, where she is responsible for managing audits, reviews, and specialty engagements for a diverse range of clients in the manufacturing, distribution, transportation, real estate, law, not-for-profit and investment sectors.
Sheralynne speaks regularly on various topics including Estate and Trust Planning, Canadian taxation for non-residents, personal real estate corporations, women entrepreneurs, and financial reporting for non-profits.
