Ahsen graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and following that successfully obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) designation.

Ahsen joined Rise in October 2025 bringing 15 years of public practice experience including over a decade with a global accounting firm. Over his career, Ahsen has built extensive experience supporting owner-managed and privately held businesses across a variety of industries and his work focuses on assurance engagements, corporate tax compliance, and business advisory. Ahsen is known for bringing a balanced, practical approach to complex financial reporting matters, helping clients navigate financial accounting and reporting requirements and make informed, well-supported business decisions. He values clear communication, efficient execution, and providing clients with confidence in their financial information.

Ahsen is passionate about developing people and enjoys mentoring emerging professionals, supporting them in building both technical knowledge and professional judgment. He also takes part in community initiatives focused on youth and family engagement.

Outside of work, Ahsen spends most of his time enjoying family-focused activities with his wife and young children, including visiting beaches and lakes, biking, and exploring the outdoors. He is also an avid soccer fan.
