Jake graduated from Simon Fraser University (SFU) with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, concentrating in Human Resource Management and Marketing. During his academic journey, Jake also joined SFU’s Study Abroad program and spent a semester studying at the University of Bath in England. Soon after graduation, Jake began his career in the recruitment industry, connecting with individuals in the accounting and finance world, assisting candidates in finding job opportunities, and building strong relationships with companies and firms across the Lower Mainland. After gaining valuable knowledge and interest in the public practice industry, Jake then worked within the HR Department of a mid-size accounting firm.

Jake joined Rise in 2023, bringing his experience in recruitment and building connections to the People Services team! In this role, he takes the lead in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, is heavily involved in Rise’s full-cycle recruitment process, and spearheads various projects revolving around HR and talent acquisition.

Jake is an outgoing individual, who loves the outdoors and playing soccer! He is also passionate about community involvement as he has volunteered his time for various food banks and is always looking for ways to make a positive difference.
